    Akwesasne.  Indian name for the St. Regis Mohawk Indian reservation, straddling the U.S./Canada border north of the village of Massena. The U.S. portion is actually in Franklin county. Also seen as Akwasasane, Aghquisasne.

    Alomogin. A neighborhood in the town of Hammond, which was briefly designated as a post office location. Also seen as Alamogin, Alamogee, Alomogien, Allemogen, Alomogie, Alamoogen, and other variant spellings.  Pronounced al-a-moo-gee.

    Aldrich. A mostly abandoned hamlet in the town of Fine, on the railroad from Carthage to Newton Falls.  Used mostly as a logging camp; had a postoffice for a few years.

    Allens Corners. A crossroads in the town of Madrid.

    Allens Falls.  A hamlet in the town of Parishville. Had a postoffice for over 20 years.

    Andersonville.  Neighborhood in the town of Fine.

    Armstrong Corners.  Crossroads in the town of Stockholm.

    Army.  Hamlet on Black Lake, in the town of Macomb; had a postoffice briefly.

    Atherton.  A survey township. Town of Piercefield.

    Bailey's Mills.  Hamlet in the town of Potsdam; now known as Slab City.

    Bakers Corners.  Crossroads in the town of Hermon.

    Ballybeen.  Original survey town name for part of Russell.

    Balmat.  Hamlet in the town of Fowler; had a postoffice for many years.

    Barnes Corners.  Crossroads in the town of Canton, not to be confused with the hamlet of Barnes Corners in Lewis county.

    Barnhart Island.  Island in the St. Lawrence river, town of Massena. Also, Barnharts, a postoffice on the island, which lasted but a few years.

    Baxter's Island.  Island in the St. Lawrence river, town of Massena, also known as Croil's Island.

    Beech Grove.  Neighborhood in the town of Russell.

    Beech Plains.  Neighborhood in the town of Pierrepont.

    Beechertown. Crossroads, town of Stockholm.

    Belleville.  Neighborhood in the town of Russell, not to be confused with Belleville in Jefferson county.

    Benson Mines.  Hamlet in town of Fine.

    Bicknellville.  Hamlet, town of Stockholm, also known as W. Stockholm.  Also seen as Bickneyville.

    Bigelow.  Hamlet in the town of DeKalb, near Richville. Also known as Bishops Corners, Richville Station, and Richville Depot.

    Black Lake. Postoffice in town of Oswegatchie; existed only a few years. Might also be used for any area along the actual lake, which lies in tthe towns of Hammond, Macomb, DePeyster, Morristown and Oswegatchie.

    Blake.  Hamlet in town of Hopkinton; had a postoffice for a few years.

    Blink Bonny.  Postoffice which existed briefly in the town of DeKalb.

    Bloomfield.  Survey township, town of Fine.

    Bog. Very short-lived postoffice in the town of Colton; changed to Stark. Also seen as The Bog.

    Boice.  Hamlet in the town of Lisbon, which had a postoffice for a few years. Also seen as Boyce.

    Bow, The. Neigborhood in the town of Gouverneur, also known as Little Bow.

    Boynton.  Very breif-lived postoffice in the town of Massena.

    Brasher Center.  Hamlet in the town of Brasher; postoffice for a few years.

    Brasher Falls.  Village in the town of Brasher.

    Brasher Iron Works.  Hamlet in the town of Brasher; a postoffice location for over 50 years.

    Brasie Corners.  Hamlet, town of Macomb; had a postoffice for over 80 years.

    Brick Chapel.  Hamlet in the town of Canton.

    Brier Hill.  Hamlet in town of Morristown.
