His obituary appeared on 19 Jun 1956 in the Watertown Daily Times of Watertown, Jefferson, NY, as follows: "George H. Klock Succumbs At 65. Gouverneur Area Farmer Long Ill--Funeral Scheduled Wednesday. Gouverneur, June 19.--George Henry Klock, 65, owner and operator of the old McAllaster farm near Somerville, died at 12:30 p.m. yesterday at his farm home after an illness of two years duration.
"The funeral will be held at the Sprague funeral home Wednesday at 2, Rev. William C. Wood, pastor of the Gouverneur First Methodist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Riverside cemetery, Gouverneur. Friends may call at the funeral home this evening.
"Mr. Klock is survived by his wife, Edna; seven sons, Bates Klock, Fowler; George Klock, fine; Morris and Donald Klock, Balmat; Henry Klock, Fowler; and Franklin and Frederick Klock, at home; six daughters, Mrs. Sterling (Ordetta) Sharpe, Madrid; Mrs. Merrill (Beverly) Sharpe, Madrid; Miss Lucinda Klock, Miss Zelphia Klock, Miss Martha Jean Klock and Miss Frances Klock, all at home at Somerville; one sister, Mrs. Frank Bresett, Ogdensburg; one brother, William Klock, Gouverneur and 16 grandchildren.
"Mr. Klock was born Jan. 23, 1891, at Gouverneur, the son of Bates O. and Martha Neil Klock; he married Miss Edna May Simmons on May 30, 1917, at the Methodist parsonage, Gouverneur, with Rev. William Hydon, pastor, officiating. Mr. and Mrs. Klock farmed near Edwards and Gouverneur after their marriage, and moved to the McAllaster farm four years ago. Mr. Klock has been in poor health for two years." He was buried in Riverside cemetery, Gouverneur, St. Lawrence, NY.

She died on 8 Aug 1976 in Gouverneur, St. Lawrence, NY. Her obituary appeared on 9 Aug 1976 in the Watertown Daily Times of Watertown, Jefferson, NY, as follows: "Edna M. Klock Dies at Age 74. Gouverneur -- Mrs. Edna May Klock, 74, Wegatchie, widow of George Klock, died Sunday at 10:25 a.m. in Gouverneur E. J. Noble Hospital where she had been admitted Friday.
"The funeral will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Sprague Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley E. Brown, pastor of the United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
"Calling hours at the funeral home are tonight and Tuesday afternoon and evening. the VFW Auxiliary will hold a prayer service at the funeral home tonight at 8.
"Surviving are six sons, George, of Fine, Morris and Donald, both of Balmat, Henry, Richville, Franklin, Theresa, and Frederick, Philadelphia; six daughters, Mrs. Sterling (Odetta) Sharpe and Mrs. Merrill (Beverly) Sharpe, both of Madrid, Mrs. Howard (Lucinda) Dennie, Gouverneur, Mrs. Robert (Zelphia) McIntosh, Antwerp; Mrs. Allen (Martha) Pedroza, Oxbow, and Mrs. David (Frances) Dudley, Auburn; 50 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Joseph (Otta) Tharrett, Rochester, and nieces and nephews. Three children died earlier.
"Born in the Town of DeKalb Sept. 14, 1901, daughter of Henry and Ida Fieldson Simmons, she attended schools at Fowler and Gouverneur and was married to George Klock May 30, 1917 in the Methodist parsonage at Gouverneur.
"The couple farmed near Edwards and Gouverneur and moved to the McAllister farm, Johnstown Road, in 1951. Mr. Klock died June 18, 1956. Mrs. Klock moved to Wegatchie in 1963.
"She was a member and a past president of the Silas Wainwright Post 6338, VFW Auxiliary, Gouverneur." She was buried in Riverside cemetery, Gouverneur, St. Lawrence, NY. George Henry Klock and Edna May Simmons had the following children:

Vonnibelle Venita "Vonnie" Klock was born on 14 Jul 1929 in DeKalb, St Lawrence, NY. She died on 4 Jul 1949 in Gouverneur, St. Lawrence, NY. She was buried in Riverside cemetery, Gouverneur, St. Lawrence, NY. Her obituary appeared 5 & 8 Jul 1949 in the Watertown Daily Times of Watertown, Jefferson, NY, as follows: "Miss Bonnie V. Klock, Hailesboro, Killed Instantly in Car Accident. Gouverneur, July 5.--Five persons were injured, one fatally, about 8 last night when a 1935 coupe in which they were riding swerved off the highway and rolled over 3.1 miles northwest of Gouverneur beyond Natural Dam.
"Fatally injured was Miss Bonniebelle Venita Klock, 19, Gouverneur, R.D.1.
"Also injured were Miss Lucinda Irene Klock, 14, and her brother, Franklin Eugene Klock, 17, both of Gouverneur, R.D. 1; Gordon E. Peck, 23, Gouverneur, R.D. 5, and John L. McNally, 18, 0f 9 John street, Gouverneur.
"All the injured were taken by Sprague ambulance to the Edward John Noble hospital. Miss Bonniebelle Klock died at the hospital at 9 of a fractured skull. She had also sustained lacerations of the right hand and abrasions about the face.
"Seriously injured were her sister, Lucinda, who suffered a fractured left thigh, fractured left collar bone and concussion.
"Franklin Klock sustained abrasions about the head and elbows and contusions. McNally suffered abrasions of the face, head, arms and back, while Peck suffered lacerations of the upper and lower lips, lacerations of the face and back. All but Franklin Klock were hospitalized. He was released shortly after examination and treatment.
"Gouverneur state police conducted the investigation. Authorities reported that the coupe was owned and operated by Peck. The vehicle swerved off to the right as Peck was endeavoring to negotiate a curve in the road in Bolton's Woods about one and a half miles from Natural Dam. The vehicle swerved from one side of the highway to the other and back again and finally turned over landing upright diagonally and facing the opposite direction from which it was traveling.
"As the car rolled over, the two girls fell through the canvas roof and landed in the middle of the highway. Franklin Klock stated that he jumped clear of the vehicle as it swerved.
"The five people were on their way to Sylvia Lake to attend Fourth-of-July festivities.
"Dr. Robert V. Persson, Newton Falls, St. Lawrence county coroner, ordered release of the body of Miss Bonniebelle Klock. She was removed to the Sprague funeral home.
"Miss Klock is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Henry Klock; six sisters, Mrs. Sterling (Ordetta) Sharpe, Madrid; Lucinda, 14; Beverly, 12; Zelpha, 10; Martha, 8 and Frances, 6, all of Gouverneur; seven brothers, Basil Klock, Morris Klock, Henry Klock, all of Balmat; George Klock and Donald Klock, both of Star Lake, and Franklin and Frederick Klock, both of Gouverneur.
"Miss Klock was born in the town of DeKalb, July 14, 1929, a daughter of George Henry and Edna May Simmons Klock. She attended schools in Parishville and Antwerp."

Rev. Harold A. Thomas, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in Riverside cemetery.
"Bearers were Carlton M. Bressett, Earl Klock, Leslie Richard, Joseph Shatraw, Everett Bowman and Maynard R. Simmons." Her obituary appeared 5 & 8 Jul 1949 in the Watertown Daily Times of Watertown, Jefferson, NY, as follows: "Miss Bonnie V. Klock, Hailesboro, Killed Instantly in Car Accident.
