The funeral for Maria E. Klock, 69, United Helpers Cedars Nursing Home, Ogdensburg, formerly of Dodd Road, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Green Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ford Reynolds, pastor of Richville Christian Fellowship, officiating. Spring burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Richville.
“Mrs. Klock died Sunday afternoon at Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center, Ogdensburg.
“Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
“Mrs. Klock was a cook, waitress and bartender at various taverns and restaurants.
“She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Gouverneur Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion and enjoyed fishing.
“Born March 14, 1933, in Brownville, daughter of Owen and Iva Patchin Tyler, she attended rural schools in the Brownville area.
“Two marriages, her first to Joseph D. Wilmet and her second to Jerald B. Jones, ended in divorce. She married Henry A. Klock on Aug. 15, 1969, in Richville. Mr. Klock, a former driller for Longyear Co., died Sept. 14, 1977.
“Surviving are three sons, Daniel Wilmet, Gouverneur, Jerald Jones, Walden, and Jeffrey Jones, Dexter; two daughters, Dawn Petrie, Theresa, and Darlene Lacey, Gouverneur; a stepson, Morton Klock, Edwards; three stepdaughters, Nancy Premo, Kathy LaMere and Barbara Clark, all of Theresa; two brothers, Frank Tyler, Fullerville, and Leon Tyler, Gouverneur; six sisters, Mary Jane Solon, Illinois, Minabelle Bresette and Marlene Hadfield, both of Harrisville, Betty Hadfield and Marge Crowner, both of Fullerville, and Marletha Jones, Malone; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
“A son, Dale Wilmet, and a brother, Owen Tyler, died before her.
